We don't know how they met, who they are exactly. They appeared in both Manga and Anime in the botanical gardens training and practacing their spells. Zatch and Kiyo battle them when Haru and Sugino's training involved catching innocent people, and Kiyo and Zatch had to free everyone. Their book was burned when they use their strongest spell to attack Zatch and Kiyo just to be bounce back with electric charge by Zatch's Rashield.
